The 24-year-old singer-songwriter was the big winner, taking three awards - best album, best British female solo artist and best breakthrough act.

In front of a backdrop of two cut-out heads on screen, the duo raced through their best-known hits, from West End Girls and It's A Sin to Domino Dancing and Always on My Mind.
The glitzy ceremony, which unlike previous years passed off without controversy, was hosted by Kylie Minogue and Gavin and Stacey stars James Corden and Mathew Horne.
