Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a teenager who was stabbed in a car park in Stourport.

Joe Carpenter, aged 18, and Paul Michael Carpenter, 54, both of Park Crescent, Stourport, are accused of murdering Shane Price near the town last week.

Both defendants are also charged with wounding, and Joe Carpenter faces a further charge of attempted murder. Magistrates in Worcester remanded both men in custody to appear before the city's Crown Court next Tuesday.

Mr Price, a 19-year-old scrap metal worker, died from a stab wound to the chest following an incident on Hartlebury Common, on the outskirts of Stourport, on Friday.

In a statement this week, the teenager's family paid tribute to him as a generous and loving man who would do anything to help anyone.

* A 45-year-old woman has been charged with attempted murder on another person and wounding following the incident. She was due to appear before Worcester Magistrates Court today.
