Michael and Julia Steventon, aged 36 and 30, returned home from work to find their house in Enville, near Stourbridge, had been ransacked.

The distraught couple are now appealing for help to trace the camera's memory card.

Other items stolen in the raid on Thursday were two plasma televisions, an MP3 player and even a piggybank. Mr Steventon, a company director at Euro Distribution, Enville, said: "It was a shock when we found out we had been burgled. It was the first time and hopefully the last time. It was horrible and I am not sure we will stay in the same house now."

The couple were married at Bridgnorth Register Office in May and for their honeymoon spent six days in New York. Mr Steventon said: "We had a lovely honeymoon and we had some wonderful photographs. They are obviously irreplacable. Why we never got round to getting them printed, I don't know."

The couple are offering a £250 reward to anyone who offers information leading to the conviction of the thieves.

Staffordshire Police spokeswoman Helen Jarvie confirmed officers were called to a burglary just after 5pm on January 15.

Anyone with information is asked to call DC Richard Farmer on 0300 123 4455 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
