More than £2,000 has been raised for charities by a Stourbridge solicitors firm.
Morgan & Co Solicitors, Bridgnorth Road, Wollaston, has raised the money as part of a national Will Aid scheme.
It will be split between seven charities including ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Help the Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children UK and Sightsavers International. Last year, instead of paying the solicitor for drawing up their Will, clients were encouraged to donate to charity.
William Morgan, who heads the firm's Wills and Probate department, said: "As a firm we have participated in the Will Aid scheme for a number of years. It was pleasing to break the £2,000 mark this year."
Morgan & Co is not the only branch of solicitors in the area to fundraise. Stourbridge solicitor Martyn Morgan, senior partner at Talbots solicitors in Market Street, came up with the idea to stay off the drink for a month. He pledged to give the money to the Chris Westwood Charity for Children with Physical Disabilities.
A total of £2,500 was collected for disabled youngsters. • Fundraising staff at Morgan & Co Solicitors (back row left to right) Elaine Teague, Tracy Starr, Ruth Gill and Sally Wilkinson with (front left to right) Susan Morgan, William Morgan and Val Moss.
