Drivers stopping off at a convenience store in Stourbridge could be banned from blocking a number of busy junctions.

It follows complaints from residents living along Glebe Lane and surrounding streets who say the high volume of parking is causing traffic hell.

Dudley Council is now considering painting double yellow lines 15 metres either side of Glebe Lane at the junction of South Road, Cherry Street and Witton Street.

Norton ward councillor Angus Adams and lead member for transportation said he has warned for some time the parking chaos could cause an accident.

He said: "I use to live at the bottom of Glebe Lane so I am only too aware of the problems. There is a lot of obstructive parking."

The original scheme suggested earlier this year received objections as it would have stopped people parking along large stretches of Glebe Lane, Cherry Street and Witton Street.
