A Midlands school is smiling after tickets to Jasper Carrott's latest Christmas fundraising show sold out in a matter of days.
The Brummie comic pledged all of the proceeds from his Christmas Cracker show at the city's LG Arena to the Sunfield School, in Woodman Lane, Clent.
And the school is now celebrating after all of the tickets for the event sold out bringing in thousands of pounds.
An exact figure cannot yet be given but they have confirmed all 14,000 seats for the show have been taken up.
The cash will go towards its continuing project to raise funds for a new school building at the site.
The project is already underway but £2 million is still needed so work can be completed.
Staff hope to have the new building completed by Spring next year.
They say the funds from the Christmas Cracker show will be a real boost to the appeal and have once again thanked Jasper for this generosity.
Spokesman Elizabeth Wood said: "We are very pleased to report the show is a complete sell-out. The tickets were just snapped up. We could not be more delighted."
The successful follows previous Christmas Crackers – which are unique as the line-up of performers is kept strictly under wraps until they appear on stage.
Guests have included stars such as Sir Cliff Richard, Robert Plant, Bill Bailey, Roger Daltrey, Robin Gibb and Chris De Burgh. Victoria Beckham even put in an appearance at one of the shows.
Jasper, who was honoured with a lifetime achievement award at this year's British Comedy Awards, has been a patron at the school since a visit in 2001.
Since then he has tirelessly worked to help the school, for youngsters with autism and other learning difficulties.
