Several weather warnings are in place and motoring organisations have warned that the snowy conditions could create hazardous driving conditions.

Snow was falling yesterday in parts of Scotland and north-east England, with around five centimetres in Aberdeen last night. The freezing conditions will continue to move down the east coast with snowfall predicted for much of the country tomorrow morning.
Temperatures in central and northern England are expected to plunge as low as -5C tonight with as much as 10cm of snow forecast.
Forecaster Paul Mott said the South West, west Wales and Northern Ireland will escape the snowy conditions but can expect freezing temperatures.
He said: "Tomorrow, much of the UK will wake up to a brief spell of snow which will turn to rain as milder air comes in from the South West.
"Some eastern areas could have several centimetres of snow settling on the ground and there is a chance of snow in London during the morning."
He said that high ground in eastern Scotland could experience as much as 10cm of snow.
The Met Office has issued a weather advisory for northern Scotland, Suffolk and Norfolk today and for much of the UK tomorrow.
The AA have advised motorists to only drive as fast as conditions allow and to be aware of the greater stopping distances required in ice and snow. It said it is deploying snow-busting patrol vehicles to rescue stranded drivers.
