The Brummie-born funnyman will host his first Christmas Cracker Show in four years at the city's LG Arena on December 21. And cash raised will be donated to the Sunfield School, in Woodman Lane, Clent, and its continuing bid to raise funds for a new building.

The project is already under way with the steel structure of the new school building already constructed.

But about £2 million is still needed to meet the fundraising target to complete the project. Staff hope to have the new building completed by Spring next year.

Past Christmas Crackers have proved a massive hit – with the line-up kept under wraps until the artists appear on stage.

Guests have included stars such as Sir Cliff Richard, Robert Plant, Bill Bailey, Roger Daltrey, Robin Gibb and Chris De Burgh. Victoria Beckham even put in an appearance at one of the shows.

Jasper has been a patron of the school since 2001.

Other patrons of the school include actress Josie Lawrence and TV presenter Adrian Chiles.

Tickets for the main show are £29.50 per person. There are also special VIP hospitality tickets costing £129 per person plus VAT.

Tickets are available on the Ticket Hotline by calling 0844 33 88 000. Alternatively log on to the the LG Arena website at www.lgarena.co.uk

Details are also available from the Sunfield Appeals Office on 01562 882253.
