Letter: Given the Government's declaration on both disability equality and age discrimination, what, if any, consideration has been given to the needs of disabled and older people when deciding to close the two neighbouring post offices at Portobello and Villiers Avenue in Wolverhampton?

Alternative locations are not readily accessible, particularly in bad weather, and we note that the distances given are only one way.

Consultation is far more acceptable when it is carried out prior to any decisions being made; this allows the public to feel that they can affect the outcome.

However, consultation after the decisions have been taken is an affront to the taxpayers' intelligence.
