Everybody needs good neighbours
Having grown up together in Oakham, Dudley, best friends Lisa Orton and Laura Kidner decided to stay close by purchasing houses directly opposite each other at a new housing development in Stourbridge. Read their story here.
A Stourbridge housing development has proven so popular that two best friends and a family of three generations have all purchsed properties on the estate.
Best friends Lisa Orton and Laura Kidner decided to stay close by purchasing houses directly opposite each other at The Spires development in Stourbridge by Bryant Homes.
The pair grew up together in Oakham, Dudley and have always wanted to live next door to each other.
When looking for new homes to accommodate their growing families, both agreed that The Spires was the perfect place to live.
Lisa went even further and recommended the development to her father and sister, who now also own homes on The Spires estate.
Lisa explains: "When I became pregnant with our fourth child - James, we decided we needed a larger home to meet the needs of our family. We also wanted an area with a great community feel and found everything we wanted at The Spires.
"We fell in love with our four-bedroom home as it offered lots of space inside as well as a spacious garden for our children to play in.
Impressed
"I was so impressed with The Spires that I urged my best friend Laura to view the estate for herself. As soon as she saw the homes here she set her heart on moving in and ended up buying a property too.
"She now lives directly opposite me so it couldn't be easier to pop round for a coffee and a chat whenever we want.
"With my father and sister also now just around the corner, I couldn't think of anywhere I'd rather live - and of course I save a fortune in phone bills."
Rita Tyler, regional sales manager for Bryant Homes, comments: "It's not very often that we get best friends living on one site, let alone three generations of one family.
"We are really pleased that Lisa and Laura have settled into their new homes at The Spires and are helping to create a friendly feel at the development.
"We pride ourselves on building not just houses but also communities and Lisa and Laura's story is testimony to this."
