Wedding guests who wrote off a silver Lamborghini near Wolverhampton may have smashed up four other supercars in a 72-hour spree, it was revealed today.
Six top cars were hired on Friday for the wedding before drivers raced around the Midlands over the weekend.
Today it emerged a police officer was attacked during an incident involving a Lamborghini in Smethwick on Monday.
The previous evening, a Lamborghini convertible was wrecked when it hit a tree close to the Cider House pub at Quatt, near Bridgnorth.
And a Ferrari was damaged on Saturday after crashing into another car.
A £125,000 Bentley Continental GT, a £150,000 Ferrari F430 and three Lamborghini Gallardo Spyders were also damaged.
The driver of the Lamborghini which crashed in Shropshire on Sunday was picked up by another car and abandoned his luxury vehicle, according to police.
He was one of a group of men who told drinkers at the Cider House they had been to a wedding reception.
All the cars are understood to have come from Pearl Rentals, in Wembley, which hires cars for £1,000-a-day and a £5,000 deposit.
A spokesman said today he believed a number of cars had been hired for a wedding and "the families have taken the vehicles and driven around the area to show off".
He said he was still trying to establish how many cars from the firm had been rented or damaged.
Police were called to Smethwick High Street at 3pm on Monday to recover a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder.
It was not clear if the car had been damaged but a police officer was assaulted at the scene and five men have been arrested.
The five, all from Smethwick and aged 18 to 27, have been charged with affray.
One was also charged with a public order offence.
They will appear before Warley magistrates on August 11.
