Tragic Wolverhampton-born TV presenter Mark Speight left two suicide notes, an inquest heard today, one of which was found on him.

The second was found at his penthouse home in St John's Wood, north-west London.

The 42-year-old, who grew up in Tettenhall, was found dead in a building next to Paddington train station on Sunday, six days after he was reported missing.

The former SMart star was said to have been left heartbroken by the death of his fiance Natasha Collins in January.

She was found dead with 60 per cent burns in a scalding hot bath at the couple's flat after taking cocaine and sleeping tablets while he slept. He was initially arrested in connection with her death but no charges were brought.

Today Westminster coroner Dr Paul Knapman said there appeared to have been a "double tragedy".

He recorded a verdict of death by misadventure at Miss Collin's inquest at the same court earlier this month.

Det Insp William Jordan, of British Transport Police, said today a post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was hanging.

Dr Knapman adjourned the inquest until May 20.
