And the 66-year-old food guru revealed she loves visiting Wolverhampton as she has relatives in the city - and is also good friends with Wolves boss Steve Morgan.
"I have an aunt and uncle who live in Wolverhampton and I do like visiting the city. I see them when I'm in the city for the football and we're also good friends with Steve Morgan," said Delia, who is director of Norwich City FC.
She was at Waterstones in Birmingham to sign copies of her new book, Delia's How To Cheat At Cooking, which promotes the virtues of ready-made ingredients.
"It's about showing people how to cook when they are pushed for time. And it's also for those people who are afraid to cook," she added.
