I am writing in complete frustration and disbelief. On the morning of Saturday January 26, after finishing my night shift at 4.15am, I took my four dogs out for a walk as I always do.

I had only walked 50 yards from my front door when I saw two loose dogs.

One looked like a Rottweiler or a Rottweiler cross and came running over and proceeded to attack my four dogs, which were all on leads. I tried my best to drag my dogs back towards my house. Upon getting right by my drive, my one male dog let out an almighty scream and with this the loose dog ran off.

Once in the house I examined my dogs and found the one bitch had a severe laceration in her neck and the male had lacerations all down his leg and couldn't walk on it.

A visit to the vets followed and both had to stop in for operations. The bitch had a muscle in her throat bitten in half and the vet said she was extremely lucky as it only just missed her jugular. The male was worse as the dog bite on his leg had fractured it which meant he had to have a plate screwed in his leg and a three-day stop at the vets. At the moment my vets bill is £1,200.

I have been told that this vicious animal has been seen loose again.

To my mind, this animal is an accident waiting to happen, and it will only be a matter of time before it attacks a person.
