Chasetown's fairytale run in the FA Cup ended today with a third round defeat to Cardiff City.
The Scholars were unable to match their heroics of the second round, going down 3-1 at home to the Championship side.
The non-league team went 1-0 up in the first half following an own goal, but their opponents, 161 places ahead in the football pyramid, showed their class.
They equalised on the stroke of half time then scored twice more in the second half to break the part-timers' hearts.
