Star Readers statement re: Travelscope Holidays
As of Friday 21st December 2007 – the travel company Travelscope Holidays Ltd. were placed into Administration.
As of Friday 21st December 2007 – the travel company Travelscope Holidays Ltd. were placed into Administration.
All trading activities are currently being suspended and no further holiday bookings are being taken.
For those customers who already have a booking for future travel with Travelscope Holidays Ltd. we can advise that unfortunately they cannot fulfil their obligations to any passengers and all holidays have been cancelled.
A number of holidays and excursions handled by Travelscope Holidays Ltd. have been booked through Express & Star / Shropshire Star – Star Readers (customers may have also booked direct with Travelscope Holidays Ltd.).
Forthcoming trips affected, scheduled over the next two weeks, are:
Rhineland New Year (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in London (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in Amsterdam (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in Paris (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in Brussels (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in the German Valleys (Departing 30th December 2007)
New Year in the Black Forest (Departing 30th December 2007)
Travelscope Holidays Ltd. is ATOL and ABTA registered and therefore all financial commitments made by customers are fully protected and all customers should receive a full refund.
A representative from either the Express & Star / Shropshire Star – Star Readers or the Administrators of Travelscope Holidays Ltd. will contact you shortly with further details regarding any future bookings, including those made for holidays or excursions in 2008.
The Express & Star / Shropshire Star – Star Readers would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

Please note that all other holidays and excursions booked through Express & Star / Shropshire Star – Star Readers are totally unaffected.
