On Saturday Halesowen based Greenhill FC lost 4-3 to Loughborough University of Mid Com Prem in an exciting Endsleigh Cup game at Beeches Avenue.

Greenhill got off to a poor start conceding within 5 minutes after a defensive mistake and things got worse half way through the first half when they went 2-0 down.

Greenhill then lost both Darren Wothers and Matt Greenway to injury in the first 30 minutes to be replaced by Richard Bell and striker Jimmy Robinson - it was Robinson who lead Greenhill's comeback after the break with a neat finish after a Dean Portman flick on.

Greenhill then took the game to Loughborough and equalised through Adam Wooldridge after an impressive run.

Sadly defensive lapses and good finishing lead to Loughborough scoring a 3rd and 4th in quick succession but again Greenhill came back to pull it back to 4-3 with a 25 yard drive by Dean Palmer.

Next Saturday Greenhill travel to Austin Sports of Div 3 in the Birmingham Vase.
