Services are now moving in and the first patients attended appointments today.

The centre includes an on-site pharmacy, opticians, dental services, chiropodists, dieticians and a string of surgeries.

GPs surgeries, including the former Audnam Lodge and Three Villages Practice, have moved to the centre.

And all services based at the Westhill Clinic are also moving in over the next few weeks. The centre will also house the Community Learning Disabilities team from Gate Lodge.

The outdated Corbett Hospital was demolished last year to make way for the newlook centre which has been built by Dudley Infracare Local Improvement Finance Trust Ltd (LIFT).

LIFT is responsible for designing, building and maintaining the new premises. Dudley Primary Care Trust will then lease the premises for 25 years.

It is the second part of a major redevelopment of the former Corbett Hospital site. The first phase, completed last year, saw the opening of a new day care centre offering outpatient, physiotherapy, rehabilitation centre and wheelchair services.
