We have teamed up with Birmingham International Airport and its partner airlines and tour operators to make the reunion dreams of one lucky reader a reality.

But the closing date is Monday and the Express & Star has already been flooded with worthy entries, all with a heart-warming and, in some cases, heart-breaking tale.

Chris McHale told how she became lifelong friends with a woman called Margaret Hughes when they worked at C&A in Wolverhampton in 1962. But Margaret now lives in South Africa and Chris longs to meet up with her again.

Express & Star promotions manager Viv Birch said: "The competition ends at close of business on Monday so anyone who has not sent in their entry really has to do it now."

One reader and a companion can win an unforgettable trip around the globe to catch up with that special someone.

The lucky winner will receive flights, spending money and, in some cases, accommodation as part of the once-in-a-lifetime prize.

l Email your stories to happylandings@expressandstar.co.uk or write to Happy Landings, The Editor, Express & Star, Queen Street, Wolverhampton WV1 1ES. Write up to 300 words explaining why you or a nominee deserves to win the prize. Include your name, full postal address and daytime phone number, as well as telling us specifically where the person lives who you want to meet up with. The deadline is Monday.
