Alison Churchill, School of Art Head, said: "We were delighted to present the exhibition in partnership with the Lichfield Garrick. "The body of work is an excellent example of what our students have been working on for the past year, and I am sure visitors have been inspired by what they have seen.
"The standard achieved by our Foundation students is exceptionally high, showing just how important it is for art students to take this one-year course between A Level and degree.
"We displayed some really stunning pieces.
"I am pleased so many people took the opportunity to see the creations by our talented local young people." The Foundation students showcased pieces from their individual projects.
Amongst the works displayed was a huge model of a rat made out of rubbish – which is a comment on society's use of resources; a model of a pregnant woman to explore the perception of motherhood; and a model of a child which questions the issue of childhood obesity.
