May I say a big thank-you to everyone who participated in the recent 42nd Tipton Carnival, also to our sponsors, Tipton and Coseley Building Society, Birmingham Foundation and Tipton Town Committee.

Health and safety and licensing legislation, plus costs of insurance premiums, parade road closures, stewarding and hire of mobile toilets for this event have escalated enormously over the years, plus increased bureaucratic pressures forced on us by the police, but regardless of all this our small band of volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure the show went ahead, which was an enormous success, trouble-free and blessed with beautiful weather.

Our award winning group has organised this event from day one and are proud of our achievements and our safety and trouble-free record and hopefully will continue to serve the Tipton community for many years to come.

Anyone interested in being part of our Community Action Team should ring 0121 522 4044.
