Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has donated furniture to sell at two St Giles Hospice shops, and a warehouse.
Coffee tables, wardrobes, dining tables and chairs, and office furniture – as seen in showhomes at Crest Nicholson developments – are being sold to raise funds for the hospice at Whittington, Lichfield.
St Giles operates 14 charity shops which sell products including items for the home, clothes, books, CDs, videos and DVDs.
Liz Herring, sales and marketing director for Crest Nicholson said: "Our showhome furniture is specially selected by our team of interior designers and represents the cutting edge of home style. Now that we are making over our new showhomes it would seem a great shame to see this furniture go to waste."
Lynwen Truesdale, hospice shops general manager, said: "We are extremely grateful to Crest Nicholson for such a wonderful donation. All the proceeds from the sales of this furniture will go towards helping our patients, and we always encourage good quality donations from companies working locally."
The furniture is being sold at affordable prices at two of St Giles Hospice's charity shops – at Wolverhampton Road in Cannock, and at Birmingham Road in Wylde Green, in addition to the charity's warehouse at Birchbrook Industrial Park in Shenstone, near Lichfield.
