Safari Park spectacular
A major summertime spectacular is to be staged for the fifth time at the West Midland Safari and Leisure Park at Bewdley in aid of the Prince's Trust, thanks to backing from a new sponsor.
The annual Summer Symphony is to be held on July 7 in the grounds of the 200-acre park and will consist of a classical music extravaganza, musical tribute and dramatic firework finale.
The English Symphony Orchestra, whose members recently performed at the opening of the 150th anniversary celebrations of Sir Edward Elgar – and with Classical Brit award-winning principal conductor Dr Vernon Handley – will be taking to the stage at Bewdley for the first time.
They will be supported by Tony Scarth, who has appeared on Stars in their Eyes and who will take on the persona of the legendary Tom Jones.
The concert is being sponsored by hotelshop, based in Droitwich Spa and which specialises in last-minute short breaks throughout the United Kingdom.
