The cast of 25 are now rehearsing almost every night until the show, which raises much-needed funds for charity. And organisers of the company are hoping to top the £2,500 raised last year.

The company's production of The Comedy Of Errors will feature both new faces and returning thespians from previous productions, and focuses on the ridiculous but hilarious antics of two sets of twins.

It is interlaced with popular songs of the fifties, and is set to be a memorable and innovative presentation of Shakespeare at his wittiest.

The show runs until June 23 with evening performances at 7.45pm, and an additional matinee at 2pm on June 23. Tickets for the production are now on sale priced £10.25.

Concessions of £8 are available for the Wednesday and Thursday performances and the Saturday matinee.

Audience seating is provided on straw bales and visitors are invited to make their theatre experience that bit more special by indulging in a picnic on site.
