Budding child stars eager to bask in the limelight have the chance to shine at a new theatre school in Staffordshire.
Launching this September, at Wade Street church hall, in Lichfield, is the Children's Theatre School – Razzamataz.
The school is rapidly expanding across the country. Lynn Brownridge, currently the principal at Razzamataz Edinburgh, is moving to Lichfield and eager to open up the new facility.
And to kickstart the new theatre school she is hosting a two-week summer school in August.
It will culminate in a version of the hit show High School Musical.
Miss Brownridge currently runs two theatre schools in Edinburgh, and will be looking to open up more than one when she moves to Lichfield.
The school will be officially launched on Thursday September 20 and will continue every Thursday from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
Children aged eight and upwards will receive an hour of dance, drama and singing tuition, and five to eight-year-olds will receive 40 minutes of each.
"I have two schools at the moment, and Lichfield will be the third," said Miss Brownridge.
"There are 14 Razzamataz schools due to open soon, and they started in Cumbria in 2000. There are currently around nine schools at the moment.
"I am from a big city which is almost overrun with things like this.
"But in Lichfield there is not an awful lot of training for children in theatre arts.
"Razzamataz is different from anything else. It alternates between musical theatre and street dance, with television presenting, drama and other things also covered. It is dynamic – we don't just do ballet and tap."
Miss Brownridge will be hosting the summer school for two weeks – from August 13 to 17, and August 20 to 24.
The school will run from 10am to 4pm each day and culminate in a version of High School Musical.
On a national scale Razzamataz is also working with Thompson Holidays in some of its hotels across Europe.
