Budding performers across Lichfield who can sing, dance or even juggle have a chance to bask in the limelight this summer.

Fuse – The Event in a Tent will be staged at Beacon Park from July 13 to 15.

An acoustic tent enables local performers to come along and entertain the festival crowd with whatever they do on July 13 and 14.

Brian Pretty, festival director of Fuse, said the motto of Fuse Acoustic was "anything goes" (within reason). The free community arts festival will have something for all the family.

Fifteen bands have already been announced, including TJ Johnson and His Band.

There will also be music and craft workshops, comedy, street theatre, dance and poetry.

Mr Pretty is also appealing for grants and sponsorship from local organisations, and volunteers to help with the set-up, running and take down of the festival. Call 01543 262223 to take part.
