Bring back super Becks!

Four weeks of world footie 2006

Yes four weeks of bliss.

Made sure I watched it all on TV,

There's nothing that I missed.

Sven's men set to do us proud

And started off quite well.

Three points in there right away,

Though the heat just gave them hell

Our midfield were magnificent -

Gerrard, Lampard and Joe Cole,

And of course the great Beckham

Helped score that precious first goal

Now 12 months on (sad to say)

England are under stress.

Nothing really going right for them

So bring in Beckham? I say yes.

When Becks played for England

He gave it his all -

A super passing ability;

A wizard with the ball.

Becks' golden goals from free kicks

Fulfiled our wildest dream,

And he was always worthy

Of captaining the team.

Beckham should not be discarded,

Despite what some may say,

With all the crunch games later

He could just help save the day.
