Money has not ruled out temporary signings to bolster his side's League Two promotion push.
But he won't add young hopefuls and said he will focus instead on players who can "make a difference" immediately.
"I don't think this is the time or situation to bring young players in," he said. "If we sign someone it will be someone with a pedigree who can come in and make a difference.
"I certainly don't have anyone in mind at the moment because I believe this group of players can see the job through.
"That may involve signing a player with a proven pedigree to help us."
Tonge has been training with Walsall and played for the reserves against Barnsley on Tuesday.
Money was today waiting on the fitness of centre-backs Ian Roper and Anthony Gerrard as his squad travelled to Hartlepool today for a promotion showdown.
