If you think your plumber or electrician is not going to pass his tax on to you, get real.

After you have paid out all this extra tax the same number of cars will still be on the road, with many racing round the back roads attempting to avoid the cameras.

The real answer is free public transport so that human nature will tempt people out of their cars, but help it along by banning all "asbos" and violent offenders from buses and trains. Bus passes should be as good as formal ID and used as a swipe card to access the bus with everyone passing a camera.

Many things can be done to improve public transport, including an age limit on all vehicles and fining cab happy drivers, who sit parked up, in our town centres, with the engines running, choking us with poisonous diesel fumes.
