Zutons back by demand at Civic

Civic Hall
As the red drapes peeled back to reveal a rather lavish-looking Civic Hall stage, it was clear from the start of The Zutons' Wolverhampton gig the night was going to be special.
All clad in cool black threads and clutching their shiny instruments against a backdrop of probably some of the best lighting the venue has ever witnessed, the Scouse rockers had the audience in the palm of their hand from the second they emerged last night.
It was the first time in their five-year career they had played in Wolverhampton but for the audience, an mix of young and old, it was well worth the wait.
Their first song Why Won't You Give Me Your Love set the scene and got the audience bounding around. The group followed it up with Don't Ever Think Too Much and Stacey.
The band seemed genuinely taken aback with the rapturous reception they received and repeatedly offered their gratitide.
They finished with their massive hit Valerie. Let's hope they don't leave it too long before they come back.
