I'm penalised for daily work
My alarm has just gone off - it's 5.30am. I look out of the window and it's a cold, wet, windy morning. I go downstairs to make my morning brew and switch on the TV.
My alarm has just gone off - it's 5.30am. I look out of the window and it's a cold, wet, windy morning. I go downstairs to make my morning brew and switch on the TV. There's only one thing on my mind and that's wishing I was back in my warm bed.The news reader on TV tells me Tony Blair is going to save the world, but it is going to cost me. Yes, more tax is going to be taken out of my wage packet, this time it's going to be called green tax.
When are Labour going to stop hitting the hard working people of this country. Just why should I have more money deducted from my wages when people I know are still lying in bed reaping in benefits, while I am up at this early hour of the morning?
These people do not even have to go and sign on now, it's paid straight into their bank accounts.
The worst thing I ever did was to buy my own house. If I don't pay my mortgage it gets repossessed, while those out of work get their rent paid along with poll tax.
Blair is wrong to keep penalising me along with millions of others, whose only crime is to go out and earn a living, and not sponge off the state.
If Blair or any of his Labour luvvies are reading this I have a suggestion for how to pay this new green tax - stop giving the EU millions of pounds every day and pull out of this senseless war in Iraq, and there will be more than enough money to subsidise his new tax.
