No bending of the rules
For clarification purposes, it is fine for a practising Sikh who may have just arrived in this country to take a ceremonial knife into Molineux. However, a 40-year-old white Englishman, born in this country, having had a season ticket for 30 years has to take the top off his pop bottle before entering the stadium for security reasons.

I would like Mr Cain, the marketing director at Molineux, to explain this decision. He will no doubt bleat on about the Racial Discrimination Act, but if a knife is on the list of prohibited items being taken into the ground then that should be the end of it. No bending over backwards to suit the laws of other countries and religions.
