Dismay over plan for lap-dance club
I was most dismayed to read in the Express & Star of another lap-dancing club being approved by the council. As I predicted in previous letters to your newspaper, the distasteful plethora of lap-dancing clubs, late drinking clubs etc have now turned the town centre into a virtual no-go area in the evening for any decent citizen.

What a wonderful legacy to be handed to the local community from a 'rag tag' body of nonentities that masquerades as our local council.
As a quick questionnaire to all council members may I ask:
(a) How are these proposals of any benefit to the local community?
(b) How much extra community charge are we paying for the increase in policing?
