Goths not to blame

May I reply to the person who wrote on September 15 complaining about the young goths. I would like to say my grand-daughter is one of them and her friends are not vandals. My grand-daughter and her friends are from caring families and are home by 5.30pm for tea.

May I suggest he walks down Dudley Street and sees the rubbish thrown outside McDonalds, and the Cancer Research Shop on Queen Square, where I worked as a volunteer for 16 years.

The young goths did not deface the statue of the Prince Consort last week in the early hours of Sunday Morning and throw the litter all over the square.

If you see litter being thrown report it. It is a punishable offence.
