New baby for heroine Lisa
Wolverhampton machete heroine Lisa Potts has given birth to her second child, the Express & Star can reveal today. The 32-year-old had an 8lb 2oz baby boy at Shrewsbury's Royal Hospital.
Her husband, policeman Dave Webb, said today: "I'm very proud and very happy that they are both healthy."
The couple were said to be keeping the youngster's name a closely-guarded secret. They have another son together, Alfie, who is two-and-a-half.
Lisa's story of bravery hit the headlines again earlier this year for the 10th anniversary of the St Luke's school horror.
Lisa, then a nursery nurse, shielded youngsters from machete attacker Horrett Campbell when he went beserk at a teddy bears' picnic on July 8, 1996.
She was credited with saving the lives of countless children, despite suffering huge mental trauma and a slashed arm and hand.
She was awarded the George Medal by the Queen, giving it to the city of Wolverhampton this year.
She also got 11 other honours and £68,300 compensation. After leaving the school, she set up the Believe 2 Achieve charity for children in All Saints and Blakenhall.
