No way to treat staff
I recently went to the Beynon Centre at New Cross Hospital to have a steroid pain killer injection under the excellent care of Mr Fraser. The care from the nursing staff was also fantastic. I was very nervous of the procedure and they helped me through. One nurse held my hand through the whole experience.
While in the waiting area I noticed a sign saying the water dispenser and milk supplied to make drinks could be used only for patients and must not be used by relatives and staff.
I find it absolutely terrible to think that in spite of all the hard work and care the staff give at this centre, they are not entitled to use a water dispenser and some milk. If this is due to cut backs then it is outrageous.
What a way to treat such devoted nurses. In such busy daily schedules just exactly how much water and milk could they consume anyway?
