Bottle confusion
Re HP sauce. As a "wee laddie" some four or five years old - brought up in a third-floor tenement in Glasgow - I was sitting awaiting my dinner with the HP sauce bottle, complete with the Houses of Parliament picture, in front of me when I overheard my father tell my mother there had been a fire in the Houses of Parliament.

I immediately started crying, and on being questioned about the tears said: "We won't get any more HP sauce!"
I didn't live it down until I was grown up!
