Two arrested after attempted carjacking in Smethwick

 A taxi driver was pushed and his car keys were stolen on West Park Road at around 8pm on Thursday (January 16).

The suspects attempted to start the taxi but were unsuccessful and fled the scene with the car keys.

Officers responded and quickly arrested two teenagers aged 14 and 15 on suspicion of robbery.

They have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
