This week, we asked our Twitter and Facebook followers to name the best Italian restaurants in the region. Here are the destinations that they chose:

Portobello, Aldridge

Walsall's award-winning Italian restaurant, Portobello, was a popular choice amongst our readers.

Now in its 13th year, the eatery, located on Aldridge High Street was praised for its good, honest food, attentive staff and general ambience.

On Twitter, Ed Dawes recommended the fillet steak with pepper sauce and said he'd never had a bad meal there.

Caffe Paradiso, Wombourne

This Med-Italian restaurant on Wombourne High Street was recommended for its authenticity - Paradiso is run by a friendly Italian family.

Don Salvo, Wolverhampton

Taking influence from Sicilian and Roman dishes, Don Salvo brings a little piece of Italy to the heart of Wolverhampton.
