Witness plea to shooting

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a 36-year-old was shot in the hand in a Wolverhampton street.

The 28-year-old suspect was appearing before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.

The charges come after a man was shot in Showell Avenue, Low Hill at around 1.30pm on Saturday.

Detectives are appealing for information on the shooting, or a silver car with two people seen in the area.
