The club night is returning on Friday, December 20, and will be the perfect party to get together with old friends and shake a leg on the dancefloor.

Promoter Dave Travis said: " It’s in Civic Hall with original Cheeky Monkey DJs - Marie, Carrie and Mel with back bar DJs Ian and Carl in Wilfrun bar. Cheeky Monkey started in 1997 and ran weekly for over 15 years, attracting up to 3,000 people at night at its peak.

"Cheeky Monkey is the 4th most successful club night of all time, with total customers of almost 1 Million since its started in 1997."

Cheeky Monkey was a staple of Friday nights for many people out and about in Wolverhampton during the 1990s and early 2000s, with hundreds of people flocking to the Civic Hall every Friday.

From 9pm to 2am, people could dance to music from all eras including 70s disco, 80s pop, rock, indie, punk and ska, alongside an eclectic mix of floor fillers.

The club night ran regularly until 2012 and had a triumphant return to the Halls earlier this year in April.
