Wolverhampton's Liam Payne apologises to fans after becoming someone he 'didn't recognise'
Wolverhampton-born Liam Payne has apologised to fans after becoming someone he "didn't recognise" as he returns from a "wonderful place" where he went to get better.
The One Direction star uploaded a video to his YouTube channel on Saturday entitled "I'm back", where he addressed fans following his controversial appearance on YouTube star Logan Paul's podcast, Impaulsive, in May last year.
Speaking on the podcast, Liam claimed he was the reason that One Direction was formed based on a "promise" that Simon Cowell had made to him two years prior, claiming to be the "honorary member" of the band.
He went on to comment that when he joined the band, he wasn't used to "rowdy guys" and claimed that himself and his now best friend, Louis Tomlinson, "hated each other" whilst in the group.
The 29-year-old also said that whilst he was in the group he "didn't appreciate it" and was never given time to celebrate achievements which was the "one thing" that he "always hated".
