Book featuring stories from former Wolves stars raises £3,500 for NHS charity
A book featuring stories from former Wolves stars and managers has raised more than £3,500 for an NHS charity.
Wolves fan and fundraiser Jason Guy, from Cannock, put the collection of tales together to create Tales of the Tape.
It had started out in the form of podcasts but has since been turned into a hardback book which has proved popular with Wolves fans.
Now the profits from the book have been split across charities – including the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity. Jason chose the charity after his baby daughter Olivia was treated at the neonatal department at New Cross Hospital.
The 43-year-old, who runs staff recruitment firm StaffToday near Molineux, said: “I’m overwhelmed by the response, generosity and support the book has generated.
"The fact it has gone all over the world makes it more special, but the real pleasure is being able to support the amazing charities. One day Olivia will read it and see the difference she has made.”
Other charities which will benefit include Breast Cancer Now and the Steve Bull Foundation. Jason has raised thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Now in memory of his first wife Lucy, who passed away from the disease.
More than 950 of the 1,000 copies printed have been sold so far.
