Doreen Tipton releases new book for children on ocean fun
Meet the Shrimp with a Limp, the Polo Bear, and the Puffin who lost his Stuffin' in Black Country comedian Doreen Tipton's fun new book for children.
Doreen, also know as Gill Jordan, has released Poetry in my Ocean – her second book – which introduces youngsters to some of the amazing creatures that live in and around our oceans.
Filled with illustrations and quirky fun poems, the book is aimed for children aged six and above – or younger kids if their parents can read it for them.
Doreen said: "I’ve set a special challenge to any parents attempting to read Myrtle the Purple Turtle. It’s an interesting tongue-twister."
The comedian and panto star's first kids’ book – The Giant Panteater, and Other Curious Creatures – was a great hit with parents, kids, schools and even received celebrity endorsements.
