The binmen – Jack Johnson, Henry Wright and Adrian Breakwell – went viral due through their popular TikTok videos in the city.

It saw them attract thousands of views on social media through their routines, which included Grease and Baywatch-themed performances.

And it has even led to them being recreated in Lego at Legoland's Windsor Resort's Miniland attraction in London, with their videos attracting millions of views.

But they have said they got emotional after receiving a card – as well as a cuddly koala toy – all the way from Australia from a woman named Jenny.

The card describes how the woman has been looking after her child – who has a terminal condition – which she described as being "painful", due to her inability to help.

She said: "I have been so depressed, but when I see your funny videos I smile and laugh again. I love you guys, you all have helped me so much.

"Please don't stop and I'm sure you're making so many others happy. I truly cannot thank you enough, it's so good to laugh again even if it's only for a short time.

"I know Australia loves you, but I'm your number one fan. Thank you."

Jack Johnson, a member of the dancing group, said: "We had a nice card from Australia, and a koala, from a woman named Jenny.

"It's a really lovely card and it really hit home what we're doing all of this for. She said we were putting a smile on her face and that really touched us all, especially when everything going on."
