Cineworld Wolverhampton reopens following major refurbishment - with pictures and video
Cineworld Wolverhampton reopens today following a major refurbishment.
The cinema has expanded its existing offering, introducing 4DX, ScreenX, and Superscreen auditoriums as well as an on-site Starbucks.
Cinemagoers in the city will be able to enjoy the 4DX experience, stimulating the senses through its effects such as wind, water, scene, and high-tech motion sears.
ScreenX is the world’s first multi-projection cinema technology that extends the cinema screen to the side auditorium walls, creating a 270-degree movie viewing experience that surrounds the audience in their seat.
Guests can also supersize their experience in Superscreen - with multidimensional Dolby Atmos sound and 4K film projection on a massive wall-to-wall and ceiling-high screen, which is taller than a double decker bus.
The refurbished cinema will also debut a new Starbucks, refurbed standard screens with new seats, and state-of-the-art updates to the foyer and concessions stands.
To mark the launch, the cinema has revealed offers such as classic film screenings from £5 and tickets for less than £10 for either of the new cinema experiences.
Cineworld will also be hosting a special 4DX Never Been Seen screening programme, classic films in 4DX for the first time ever in the UK, including Inception, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Jurassic Park.
Avi Ghataore, general manager of Cineworld Wolverhampton, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming back cinemagoers to our better than ever, newly refurbished cinema and we are delighted to be adding 4DX, ScreenX and Superscreen to our existing offering.
"With these new additions we can offer the local community the opportunity to experience film like never before.’’
