Wolverhampton light up event reflects on lockdown
Residents joined together to mark 10 weeks since lockdown started with a candle lighting.
The Light Up Wolverhampton online vigil asked residents across the city to light a candle to reflected on the challenging times since lockdown started due to coronavirus.
The event on June 2 also asked everyone participating to remember the goodness shown by all communities during lockdown.
The event was organised by the Elias Mattu Foundation in collaboration with Wolverhampton Mutual Aid and the Wolverhampton Voluntary Sector Council.
Photos of people lighting candles were put on social media and shared through the Elias Mattu Foundation Facebook page with the hashtags #eliasmattufoundation and #weneedeachother
