Aimee Rowe, from Bilston and Billy Ellits, from Wednesfield, both aged 13, have beaten young dancers from across the UK for two out of 22 places in the Can You Dance? Dance Star 2020 touring company.

The talented teenagers were selected by a panel of leading dance experts, including Matt Flint a creative director of Strictly Come Dancing and choreographer Tom Shilcock who has danced for Rita Ora, Take That and Jason Derulo.

They will now represent their home town of Wolverhampton at the CYD? events across the country, working alongside international choreographers and dance educators for the next 12 months - concluding with a performance at The M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool in front of thousands of people in October.

Amanda Rowe, Aimee's mother, said: "It is really nice to see their hard work paying off as they sacrifice so much for dance, so it's good to see that it's been worth it.

"They both would like careers in dance, and through this they will be working with industry experts so if they make an impression this could open doors for their future."

The pair train together up to five times per week at Jordon School of Dance and Performing Arts in Halesowen.
