As part of Marston's Heroes of the Community initiative, employees at the Head Office on Brewery Road in Wolverhampton have come together with a handful of pubs to raise awareness and support community initiatives.

Marston’s has created 400 bespoke food and drink hampers to support local community events held at a selection of Marston’s pubs, helping those most vulnerable at Christmas, and 45 of these hampers will be donated to pubs in the Black Country.

The brewery is supporting The Moreton Arms, in Fordhouses, is funding a Christmas dinner for elderly people who are alone over the season, The Claregate, in Tettenhall, is volunteering at a homeless soup kitchen and The Horse and Jockey, in West Bromwich, who is also funding a festive dinner for the elderly.

Jenny Nalborczyk, marketing manager at Martson's, said: "The work our pubs do at this time of year to celebrate the festive season with the community is honourable.

"We are so proud to be able to support these events by getting stuck in with our team members to pack each individual hamper, it was like Santa's workshop.

"We were lucky enough to also receive support from some of our suppliers who donated an amazing selection of drinks and food for us to include."

All hampers will be delivered by Head Office staff to the nominated pubs before their event takes place.
