The event, held to raise funds for Compton Care, was the first of its kind organised by staff and volunteers at the charity’s Shifnal Shop on Wednesday evening.

Models included staff, volunteers and family and friends each showcasing evening wear, autumn and winter clothing and children’s fancy dress, which had all been donated to the store.

Shop Manager Carol Jackson said: “Our Compton Care Fashion Show was a huge success. We had some lovely dresses being modelled by a number of ladies and young girls, perfect for Christmas and New Year parties.

“The local community were wonderful in supporting us by coming to watch the show and purchasing items for sale in the shop.

“We’ve had great feedback from everyone who attended so will definitely look to host another show in the near future.”

All money raised from the event will go towards helping the charity to continue to provide extraordinary care for patients and their families living with complex and incurable illnesses.
